Theme Directory is open to the Public

Wordpress recently announced that they would open Theme Directory to the public. It only means that more them to the general public and more back links fro those who will create free themes to the public.

It seems that Wordpress is giving an opportunity for those who on their theme and then give it away for free to get known. As I already stated above, they are doing this in order to get more back links for their websites. If they got more back links then their ranking will go up. This has been one of the best ways to get back links so far.

Of course, with this opportunity, comes the responsibility that your theme should be of quality or else they wouldn’t accept it to their list. You might be asking right now once, you have made your theme then what would be the next procedure. The procedure is much easier than before because all you have to do is to log on your wordpress.com account then look for the “Upload Page”. You should upload your theme zip file. After that they would do some quality checks and then they will send an email which says what is the problem of your theme, you should fix it and them submit it again for approval. Once they have seen that it is perfect for use then they would send an email again saying that your theme is approve.
