I just want to update you guys on what just happened to my blogging. I just won a contest from Nuffnang.ph. I never really expected to win because the post that I did submit is the one that I have created weeks before the contest. I said to myself that since I have created a post about Nuffnang then I might as well join the contest. I was shocked to receive a pingback from Nuffnang, saying that I’m one of the chosen one.

Lately I have just sponsored two cool contests wherein you will win lots of prizes. Of course my intention for sponsoring them is to gain lots of back links to my site so that my authority will be higher. I’m not doing this just to get a page rank because I know that I will get my page rank. I have more than 3,000 back links incoming to my site. I have done this by commenting on blogs, forums signature, and social book marks.

For me contests are a great way to get some back links to your site because the bloggers would be writing about the contest with a link back to your site. The prize doesn’t really need to cost that much. You can give a blog review, one month ads space on your site, some ebooks, entrecard credits and a lot more. The only thing about having a contest is that you should provide a lot of prizes so that many bloggers would join the contest. This is where those sponsors cam because they are adding some more prizes to what you are already offering. With prizes added, your contest will become the talk of the town. Setting it aside from famous blogger’s contest like John Chow, Shoemoney and a lot more. When your site is aligned with the top bloggers, you would gain easy recognition. Other thing that you can do to get more participants is to find those blog contest site and tell them of your contest.

I’m looking for a few more contests to sponsor this month or next month. Of course, with my prize added toy ours, it would be a hit that a lot of bloggers would like to participate. The prizes that I’m willing to give will be different from the other because it will depend on what is available for me to give.

I have always considered that joining a contest or starting a contest is one good way for your blog to be known. This is the first time that I will be joining a contest and I will get a 2 GB USB pen that John gets from one of his affiliate program. Market leverage did send a package to John chow that is full of goodies. One of the said goodies is a 2 GB USB pen which he is now giving away up for grabs. I haven’t been able to used or see such in real life that I thought getting this gadget from joining a contest. If possible this is the first time that I will be getting such.
